What is it?
20+ acts, all handpicked by the Hoodoo Gurus performing across four venues all within two minutes walk of each other on Enmore Rd, Newtown. Take advantage of all day pass outs, a street full of cafes, restaurants and hotels all offering quality food and beverages, and a punter friendly capacity restricted to the same size as any regular Enmore Theatre concert mode show. With all events held indoors there is no fear of sunburn here!
How much are tickets and how does it all work?
The Enmore Theatre will be in concert mode for Dig It Up. This means that as well as the downstairs dance-floor area there will also be upstairs seating on offer. Four types of tickets and three ticket prices will therefore be available.
A Gold Reserve ticket will give the holder access to the downstairs dance-floor area with the great advantage of a guaranteed upstairs seat in the Lounge, reserved exclusively for them for the duration of the event. Lounge seats are at the front of the balcony and have an excellent view of the stage.
A B Reserve ticket will give the holder access to the downstairs dance-floor area with the great advantage of a guaranteed upstairs seat in the Circle (behind the Lounge) reserved exclusively for them for the duration of the event.
A C Reserve ticket will give the holder access to the downstairs dance-floor area with the great advantage of a guaranteed upstairs seat in the back of the Circle (behind the Lounge) reserved exclusively for them for the duration of the event.
A General Admission ticket gives the holder open access to the downstairs dance-floor area (plus the upstairs bar).
And of course, all ticket holders, whether Gold Reserve, B Reserve, C Reserve or General Admission, will have free and unlimited access to all performances at both Mojo (formerly Notes), the Green Room Lounge and the Sly Fox.
Please note, due to restrictions with the capacity all seat holders will be asked to take their seats for the final three acts in the Enmore Theatre.
GA (General admission): $137.70
(includes booking fee – some transaction fees may apply)
B Reserve: $137.70
(includes booking fee – some transaction fees may apply)
C Reserve: $117.70
(includes booking fee – some transaction fees may apply)
Gold Reserve (limited to 320): $164.20
(includes booking fee – some transaction fees may apply).
Are there reserved seats in the other venues?
No. Neither Mojo (formerly Notes), The Green Room Lounge or the Sly Fox will have reserved seating.
Mojo (formerly Notes) will have the tables and chairs removed from the dance-floor with scattered bar seating around the perimeter and there will also be some very limited seating in their upstairs area.
The Green Room Lounge is a bar with scattered lounges, bar seating and a small performance space.
The Sly Fox is a General Admission bar.
Can under 18’s attend?
Under 18’s are allowed into the Enmore Theatre and Mojo (with a guardian) but The Green Room Lounge and Sly Fox are off limits, sorry.
A reminder again, although you may have reserve seating you are free to roam around the venue(s) we just ask that you take your seat for the last two bands.
Is there an entrance point for Dig It Up!
Before entering any of the Dig it Up! venues everyone must first exchange their ticket for a colour-coded wristband (reserved seating wristbands being a different colour to those on the dancefloor). This exchange will happen at the Enmore Theatre box office from 12.00pm on show day. Once the wristband has been secured patrons are free to visit any of three venues.
Who’s playing?
Flamin’ Groovies, Blue Oyster Cult, Buzzcocks, Peter Case Band, The Stems and loads more to be announced – plus Hoodoo Gurus performing Mars Needs Guitars (plus other hits) live and in it’s entirety.
What are the playing times?
Doors open at 12.00pm and bands will start from 1.00pm. Set times will be posted shortly. Crossover between acts is minimal. The expected ebb and flow of the day should make it possible for anyone to see all acts.
Can I take my drink between venues?
No you cannot take drinks between venues nor can you bring outside drinks in. However, as long as you have your wristband, you may leave any of the venues to eat or drink elsewhere and return without any issue.
Is there anywhere to eat?
The Green Room Lounge serves bar snacks and Enmore road is full of interesting places to eat. There will not be any food stalls.
