Perth band The Stems will join the Sunnyboys for their Brisbane and Sydney headline shows. The onetime residents of Perth (now scattered around the country) and heirs apparent to the Sunnyboys in the eighties, had a string of great singles including For Always, At First Sight, Sad Girl & Make You Mine plus the classic At First Sight… album. The band split in 1987 returned briefly in the early 90s touring Australia, the US and Europe, split again reappeared again in 2007 with a new album: Heads Up, split again in 2009 and then returned earlier this year for the second instalment of Dig It Up! where they were largely considered (along with Buzzcocks) band of the day. Thirty-One years after they last performed, San Francisco’s legendary Flamin’ Groovies will again make their presence known via Dig it Up! The Hoodoo Gurus Invitational appearing at shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Now, Feel Presents are chuffed to announce that Flamin’ Groovies will also play headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets for these limited capacity shows at Sydney’s iconic rock venue the Annandale Hotel and Melbourne suburban favourite the Caravan Music Club will go on-sale Friday 5th April.
