All hail Tumbleweed!  Inspired by the likes of Mudhoney, The Celibate Rifles & The Stooges, Wollongong’s finest (its emblazoned upon their chest) came bursting out of the steel city (and former outfits The Unheard & Proton Energy Pills) in the late nineties via a series of fuzzed out 7″ gems on the Waterfront label. Signing to Festival Records the band released their eponymous debut album in 1992 featuring the righteous Sundial single. More albums followed and members came and went and for a while actually, ages) things all got a little ugly (tense stares, clenched fists) but once again love entered the fold and in 2009 the original five-piece laid down arms and got on with the job of rockin’. Wollongong needs them. So does Dig it Up! Forget the caffeine, get you days started with a dose of Tumbleweed!
