Adoptees of the early Creation sound, Sydney psychedelic youngsters The Laurels are equally as enamoured and indebted to the sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators or The Stems and are also the international support act of choice to acts like Low, Swervedriver, Wooden Ships, Black Angels – get the picture? With two albums under their turquoise belt, The Laurels were recently invited to showcase their wares at the 6th Annual Austin Psych Fest in the U.S of A. Dig It Up! will be the last Sydney show for The Laurels before taking on that big journey.
